

Assuming the report is positive, users can unblock the mboxview.exe by making an exception as you described: I will post the final report from Microsoft if Widows Defender is not updated immediately. Users typically don't want to run programs flagged as suspect by Windows Defender and that is understandable. It is likely it will take some time for Windows Defender to fix the issue. I am quite sure Windows Defender reports virus false positive. At the same time mboxview.exe in the sub-folder ReleasePlusStackTrace is clean which is very odd since that executable is compiled from the same source code plus additional code for the Stack Trace. It reports malware on the cloud platform but not on the client platform. I am still waiting for the expert opinion. See the attachment from the initial virus scan done by Microsoft.
